Salary: $400-$450K

LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana has an immediate opportunity for a Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry to lead their team in promoting mental wellbeing with compassionate, person-centered care that integrates the diversity and unique culture of our state while excelling in education and innovative research to advance mental health, locally and beyond.

Requirements:

• M.D. or D.O. degree
• Associate or Full Professor Ranking
• Board Certified in Psychiatry
• Demonstrated Leadership Ability in Academic Medicine

• We offer 3 GME programs: Psychiatry Residency, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship and Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship.
• Our team consists of over 30 dedicated Faculty including Emeritus professors.
• Our team at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport’s Psychiatry program is the leader in psychiatric care in our region. We care for more than 15,000 patients each year who are struggling with conditions that affect their mental well-being.
• We are affiliated with the Louisiana Addiction Research Center (LARC) and a local 80-bed in-patient hospital as well as 2 out-patient clinics.
