About Vandalia Health and CAMC
Vandalia Health, in partnership with Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC), is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Adult Psychiatrist to join our growing Behavioral Medicine team in Charleston, WV.
CAMC is a regional leader in healthcare and education, serving as a major referral and teaching hospital for southern West Virginia. Our behavioral health department provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services, emphasizing evidence-based, compassionate, and collaborative care, and provides training to both general psychiatry and combined internal medicine-psychiatry residents.
Position Highlights
-work in thriving collegial multidisciplinary academic psychiatry department in major teaching hospital
Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for adult patients.
Supervision of residents and medical students in psychiatry outpatient clinic
Teaching (formal and bedside), scholarly work typical of academic physician faculty
Academic advancement opportunities available
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with CAMC and regulatory standards.
-shared on call responsibilities with other faculty supervising residents
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (ABPN).
Eligible for medical licensure in West Virginia.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
