Child/Adolescent Psychiatry Locums in Massachusetts

Practice Setting

• Inpatient setting
• Work in an Acute psychiatric unit/institute with 22 beds
• See an average of 6-10 patients per shift
• No required supervision of Advance Practice Providers or Residents/Teaching

Schedule

• Coverage is for Scheduled Clinical Hours Only (Days, 8:00 AM start time)
• No Admissions Required

Procedures and Cases

• Required Clinical Areas include Anxiety, Affective, ADD/ADHD, Personality, Eating, Development, Psychotic, and Organic disorders
• Treatment techniques include Pharmacotherapy, Group therapy, Family therapy, and ECT
• Familiarity With Involuntary commitments, Seclusion therapy, and Restraint application

Requirements

• Physician Board Certified in Psychiatry - Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
• MUST be Child and Adolescent Certified
• Active MA License is required to bid on this locums role
• Required Certifications include ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ABLS

Credentialing Requirements

• Estimated Credentialing Timeframe is 60 days
• Temporary privileges are available to speed up the process
