MEDICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

The Department of Supportive Care Services at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center has an immediate opening for a licensed, fulltime Medical Psychologist to join our Psychology division.  Psychologists work in close collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams across the spectrum of cancer care and support Roswell Park patients by delivery high quality and empathic care.

Our psychologists see patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This position will support individual, family and group psychological interventions and consultations as necessary, will conduct evaluations and assessments of cognition, behavior, and personality, formulate treatment plans in collaboration with the medical and nursing staff and other elements of the Psychosocial Oncology team.

Incumbents will have opportunity to develop and manage research programs, provide education and training in research, clinical applications, and other elements as necessary to Doctoral and Post-Doctoral students in the organization’s academic programs. Faculty appointments commensurate with experience are available in the Department of Oncology.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, the ability to demonstrate excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills that will help promote and maintain strong collaborative relationships with other clinicians at Roswell Park. Experience with Behavioral medicine or experience in a medical setting is preferred.  Candidates must have a license or be license-eligible to practice as a Psychologist in the State of New York, have a Ph.D. in Psychology with graduation
from a clinical or counseling psychology, health psychology, or related psychosocial area and completion of a one (1) year internship.

Salary range $103,784 - $127,830 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
