The Lincoln Regional Center (LRC), Nebraska's state psychiatric hospital, is seeking a General Psychiatrist or Forensic Psychiatrist to join our dedicated team of behavioral health professionals. As a Joint Commission-accredited facility, LRC provides specialized inpatient and residential psychiatric services for adults with complex mental health needs from across the state.

Requirements
General Psychiatrist Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans
Provide medication management and psychiatric care for adults with serious mental illness
Collaborate with psychologists, nurses, social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
Participate in treatment planning, case consultation, and quality improvement initiatives
Support patient recovery and successful community reintegration
Forensic Psychiatrist Responsibilities
Conduct forensic psychiatric evaluations and prepare reports regarding competency, criminal responsibility, risk assessment, and other legal matters
Perform evaluations related to civil commitment proceedings
Provide expert consultation regarding psychiatric treatment and forensic issues
Collaborate with treatment teams to support patient care and safety
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and peer consultation
Qualifications:
General Psychiatry
M.D. or D.O. degree
Eligible for or licensed to practice medicine in Nebraska
Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
Forensic Psychiatry
M.D. or D.O. degree
Eligible for or licensed to practice medicine in Nebraska
Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
Fellowship training or experience in Forensic Psychiatry preferred
