Baltimore Medical System is a community-based, private non-profit dedicated to improving the health and wellness of medically underserved communities in Baltimore City and County. We are the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) system in Maryland, serving 46,000 people each year. We are certified at Level III by NCQA for Primary Care Medical Home.
At BMS, we provide the full range of primary care: Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Behavioral Health. In addition, Baltimore Medical System offers many other services that are not typically available including Referrals to Specialty Care, On-site Pharmacies, Interpreters, Community Health Workers and Health Benefits Advisors.

Baltimore Medical System Named "High Performing Practice" by CMS for Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative April 19, 2016
Baltimore Medical System, the largest federally qualified health center in Maryland, announced that it has been selected as a high performing practice for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative (TCPI). As a high performing practice, BMS will participate on the TCPI national expert panel and help practices across the country implement a change package to improve care and reduce costs for their patients.
BMS was selected as a high performing practice based on a recommendation from a practice transformation network in CMS' TCPI, a series of interviews and performance/data review of clinical and operational measures.
