Company Overview

Company History
In 1957, Community Reach Center (formerly known as Adams Community Mental Health Center) was founded in Commerce City, Colorado. The clinic was staffed by a small visiting team of mental health providers from the University of Colorado Medical Center.
In 1967, Congress passed the Community Mental Health Centers Act, fulfilling President John F. Kennedy's vision to adopt a "bold new approach" to the treatment of mental illness in the United States. The Center was the first provider in the five-state Rocky Mountain region to build a comprehensive community mental health center with funds awarded through the Community Mental Health Centers Act. As news of the new client friendly, state-of-the-art facility spread beyond Colorado, mental health professionals from other states traveled to Colorado to tour the facility.
Fifty years later, the Center currently serves more than 13,000 children, teens, adults and seniors annually at outpatient locations, schools, nursing homes, residential treatment and semi-independent living homes and primary care offices.
