Lone Star of Circle of Care (LSCC) is a nonprofit, federally qualified community health center with clinics throughout Central Texas providing a person-centered and behaviorally enhanced health care home and a range of services for the uninsured and medically underserved. We offer adult primary care, pediatric primary care, senior care, comprehensive OB/GYN services, general dentistry, psychiatry and behavioral health, vision services, and pharmacy services.

January 2001 Health care task force forms to plan opening of a new Georgetown clinic
January 2002 Georgetown Community Clinic (GCC) opens
January 2004 GCC Dental Center opens; Granger Medical Clinic, a pediatric practice in Granger, TX, is donated to GCC; GCC adds mental health services
June 2004 The organization receives federally qualified health center (FQHC) “look-alike” status and must operate as an FQHC without receiving federal funds; low-cost medications become available on-site
September 2004 Diabetes program marks first chronic disease management initiative
December 2004 GCC acquires full Section 330(e) FQHC status
August 2005 GCC Pediatric Center opens at 612 East University Avenue, Georgetown
October 2005 Lone Star Circle of Care (LSCC) becomes the organization’s official name
January 2006 LSCC adds family planning services; LSCC is accepted into the National Health Disparities Collaborative for Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease
May 2006 Round Rock Community Clinic opens at 1099 East Main Street, Suite 200; LSCC mental health capabilities expand to include adult psychiatry services
August 2006 LSCC adds women’s health services
December 2006 LSCC OB/GYN clinic opens at 2300 Round Rock Ave, Suite 230
January 2007 Round Rock Health Clinic, located at 2120 North Mays, Suite 430, becomes an LSCC clinic
June 2007 LSCC opens Round Rock Dental Center at 905 N IH-35, Suite 109
August 2007 LSCC launches child and adolescent behavioral health program
June 2008 LSCC implements companywide electronic health records system to streamline patient care

April 2009 LSCC opens Ben White Health Clinic in Austin in partnership with St. David’s South Austin Hospital
September 2009 LSCC launches a centralized Member Navigation Center, providing one convenient phone number for patients to call and schedule appointments at LSCC clinics
September 2009 Georgetown Community Clinic, which provides primary care and behavioral health services for adult patients, moves from its original location on University Avenue to a new clinic in Lake Aire Medical Center on Williams Drive and changes its name to LSCC Adult Health and Wellness at Lake Aire

December 2009 Lone Star Circle of Care opens a new clinical hub within the Texas A&M Health Science Center in Round Rock. Four of LSCC’s six clinics at Texas A&M HSC open on December 14: adult primary care, pediatrics, women’s health and behavioral health.
January 2010 LSCC’s Adolescent Health & Wellness clinical space at the Texas A&M Health Science Center begins seeing patients on January 18, 2010
May 2010 LSCC receives Joint Commission Accreditation – a gold seal of approval for health care quality and safety
June 2010 GCC Pediatric Center moves from its original location on University Avenue in Georgetown to a newly renovated space at Lake Aire Medical Center on Williams Drive.
July 2010 LSCC opens Senior Health at Lake Aire Medical Center in Georgetown, a clinic dedicated to serving senior patients with specially trained staff and a physician board-certified in internal medicine.
September 2010 LSCC opens Dell Children’s – Circle of Care Pediatrics at Whitestone, a pediatric clinic in Cedar Park sponsored by the Seton Family of Hospitals.

October 2010 LSCC is recognized as a Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance.
October 2010 LSCC opens Dell Children’s – Circle of Care Pediatrics at Hutto, a pediatric clinic sponsored by the Seton Family of Hospitals.
October 2010 LSCC opens Seton – Circle of Care Senior Health at the Texas A&M Health Science Center, sponsored by the Seton Family of Hospitals. It is LSCC’s second clinic dedicated to serving senior patients.
February 2011 LSCC begins operating Lone Star Circle of Care Health Center at Taylor, a family medicine clinic adjacent to Scott & White Hospital – Taylor, which was formerly Johns Community Hospital. The clinic is in partnership with Scott & White and provides a medical home for many residents of the Taylor area.
February 2011 Lone Star Circle of Care Behavioral Health at Harker Heights opens. The clinic is LSCC’s first dedicated behavioral health clinic in Bell County, providing psychiatry and therapy for children and adolescents.
