To compliment the Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services, New Horizons also has a Primary Care Clinic (PCC) onsite.
Purpose of the PCC
•To provide quality medical care to existing adult clients of New Horizons who are not already receiving medical care.
•To facilitate collaboration between the adult client's Psychiatric staff and Primary Care staff.
•Referrals to other specialists, i.e. dentists, labs, etc.
The PCC offers adult clients many services including:
•Well Care
•Smoking Cessation
•Weight Control
•Diabetes Monitoring
•Referrals to Specialists
•Monitoring of Chronic and Acute Medical Conditions

Company History
In 1958 a group of concerned citizens formed the Indian River Mental Health Clinic in Ft. Pierce to meet the needs of people with emotional and mental health disorders. Through the years, the organization has evolved to meet the ever changing needs of the community and in the process has experienced many changes including names and locations.
