About Ramsay Health Care
Ramsay Health Care has a long history in mental health with our first clinic established by Paul Ramsay AO, in Sydney, Australia in 1964. Since then we have grown to be the largest provider of private mental health services in Australia, operating 24 mental health units with over 1,200 beds.
In addition to mental health, Ramsay facilities cater for a broad range of health care needs from primary care to highly complex surgery and rehabilitation. The company employs more than 77,000 staff and treats 8.5 million patients in its 480 facilities and primary care clinics located across 11 countries in Australia, France, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Indonesia and Hong Kong, making it one of the largest and most diverse private healthcare companies in the world.
