Specialists On Call, Inc (SOC); the largest and leading provider of Specialty Physician consultations to U.S. acute care hospitals via telemedicine.
Since 2007, SOC has provided on-demand consultations via telemedical link, today to more than 270 suburban and urban hospitals in 26 states, and that number grows every month. To date, we’ve consulted upon more than 100,000 patients, and in 2013 alone we’ll see about 47,000 consultations. Currently we provide Emergency Neurology On-Call, inclusive of acute stroke, Emergent and On-Demand Psychiatric consultations, and ICU support via our Tele-Intensivist Program.

Benefits
Our goal is to engage physicians to practice medicine, not conquer logistics or technology. Our practice includes more than 60 physicians where all equipment is installed in the homes and offices by SOC technicians, accompanied by simple training and supported by a 24/7 assistance line just for our physicians. We have a unique call center – our Consult Coordination Center – in our headquarters operation in Reston, VA, that handles the triage of connecting the hospital to the SOC physician.
Work with SOC includes paid malpractice insurance, all costs and paper handling associated with state licensing and hospital credentialing, all done in-house, and payment you can rely on, every 2 weeks, depending on the number of shifts you work.
