The department of psychiatry at the UF College of Medicine is a leader in the Southeast for innovative, evidence-based treatment programs for a variety of mental health disorders. In addition, UF’s Mood Disorders Program, spearheaded by the department, is a designated center of excellence by the National Network of Depression Centers and was the first academic medical center in Florida to earn this distinction. Faculty and staff within the department are provided broad educational experiences in multifaceted programs while delivering quality care, backed by leading-edge research and exceptional customer service.
