Company Overview
Wexford Health Sources, Inc., was incorporated in 1992 for the sole purpose of providing health care services to correctional institutions. Our 16-year portfolio contains county agencies in 13 states as well as statewide or major regional health care programs for state agencies in Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, and Wyoming.
We currently employ nearly 1,400 men and women to provide clinical services for approximately 90,000 patients at more than 100 facilities across the country. Most of our contracts involve the provision of medical care, mental health care, dental care, and pharmaceutical services, as well as health-related products and services including vision care, chemical dependency treatment, telemedicine, utilization management, and provider network development. All Wexford Health programs are designed to meet or exceed the standards established by the American Correctional Association (ACA), the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC), and the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Health Care Organizations.
