Emergency-CL Attending Psychiatrist
South Shore University Hospital – Bay Shore, New York
Northwell Health’s Behavioral Health Service Line is recruiting a full-time or part-time BE/BC Emergency/CL Psychiatrist at South Shore University Hospital located in Bay Shore, New York.
South Shore University Hospital is Northwell’s rapidly expanding tertiary care hospital in the Eastern Region with a recent $600 million investment as part of its transformation: with centers of excellence in heart and lung, neuroscience, neurosurgery, and maternity care. The renovated Emergency Department contains a state-of-the-art locked psychiatric wing built to CPEP specifications, with a multidisciplinary team including social work support.
About the Role:
- Provide consults to ED and medical floors. No inpatient or outpatient responsibilities
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 9a-5p
- Opportunity to supervise/teach students
- New Psychiatry residency program to commence 2027
- Compensation starts at $305,000 for general psychiatrists, inclusive of 1 moonlighting shift per month.
- Annual performance bonus of up to $15,000
- Part-time positions also available (2-3 days per week)
Requirements:
- Must be BC/BE and licensed in NYS
- Superior computer and EHR skills, Emergency Psychiatry or CL experience preferred.
- Must be able to assess ED and CL patients of all ages
