VA Portland Health Care System seeking a Psychiatrist Researcher
VA Portland Health Care System (VAPORHCS) in Portland, Oregon, is seeking to recruit an early to mid-career staff psychiatrist with prior training and success who is able to successfully compete for peer-reviewed research support on topics especially relevant to Veterans including depression, suicide prevention, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, chronic pain, substance use disorder, sleep, or schizophrenia. Research space and equipment will be provided. VAPORHCS ranks in the top 10 among VAs nationwide in total research funding. Start up support (protected time and research support) will be negotiated. VAPORHCS is closely affiliated with Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU); the position will include an academic appointment at OHSU. OHSU and VAPORHCS are linked by a pedestrian sky bridge that facilitates our close partnership.
